Unfortunately, the planned build for 2021 has been cancelled due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. These restrictions hampered our ability to properly schedule teams from Global Village and local assistance for the build while trying to maintain health and safety regulations.
We want to thank the family for understanding the situation. Although it was hard for HBIQ and the family to have this happen, but they totally understood the situation. Habitat Iqaluit is now planning the build for next summer in 2022. Baring any more COVID outbreaks, we will be able to plane sooner and secure volunteers to get this build completed and get this young family into their new home.
