Habitat for Humanity Iqaluit would like to invite you to be part of history and join us in building another Habitat home in Iqaluit.
Spending a day on the Habitat Iqaluit build is a great way for your business, corporate group, or organization to help make the dream of home ownership a reality for a family in need. The build provides an excellent opportunity to reinforce the values of team building, cooperation, and leadership outside of the daily workplace. By participating in this event, your staff will make a significant difference in the life of our family in need of a “hand up – not a hand out,” while strengthening bonds and learning new skills.
There are many ways to Adopt-a-Day. Every day we need both people to build and to sponsor lunch. You can choose from among the following options depending on your capacity to contribute. Feel free to combine options:
Send a group of volunteer builders from your staff.
Provide your own meal and refreshments for the volunteers on site (approx. 25).
Sponsor meals and refreshments ($250) which will feed the volunteers of the day.
Regardless of your skill level or the size of your team, you are making a valuable contribution.
Your business, no matter the size, can participate. Smaller businesses may want to team up with each other, while larger businesses may want to issue a friendly challenge to other businesses to match or exceed their contribution.
We look forward to celebrating with you and your staff when we hand the keys over to our partner family.
